BBA accounting or Bachelor of Business administration is a 3-year undergraduate degree, usually divided into six semesters. During the course, the student will learn concepts such as Business Accounting, Organizational Analysis, Business Statistics, and so on. During the first year, students will gain a thorough understanding of financial statements, financial analysis and reporting systems.
The second-year business administration program will focus on statistical methods. After this, students will have the opportunity to select from two fields: Management or Business Strategy. In this field, students will learn about financial management. Business management, however, involves the management of various firms or businesses. Business strategic studies, on the other hand, involve the decision making process in relation to strategic planning.
At the end of the third year, students will have an opportunity to take a capstone course in the business administration program. The first year courses will provide ample opportunities for students to explore concepts that have been covered. This is the time when students can choose from a wide array of elective courses. The capstone will then give students the opportunity to develop professional goals for themselves. The fourth year will feature courses on human resources and entrepreneurship. These courses will help students learn the ins and outs of starting a business.
As with all business administration programs, there are many different majors that students may choose from. However, the most common ones are accounting, computer science, business administration, and math. Students interested in finance can choose between economics, mathematics, and business administration. There are also a few medical related subjects that students may be interested in taking up. Those looking to become dentists can look into medicine, biology, chemistry, and physiology.
Aside from the major requirements, students will also need to complete certain other academic and vocational requirements. Some classes include calculus, statistics, general education courses, and courses that help students improve communication. Students should also be prepared to prepare for the test given by the University's Accounting Department.
