Alum from the University of Wyoming, James M. Gavrilets, is set to speak on April 9th as keynote speaker at the prestigious UW MBA Executive Speaker Series. Award-Winning University alum and law school alum to present as keynote speaker at a conference sponsored by the University of Washington MBA, the event promises to be a fantastic opportunity for budding entrepreneurs to network and share ideas. The event will be held at the John Wooden Center for Business and Public Service. The conference is one of many in the series that are hosted annually.
This will be the third conference of this type hosted at the Wooden Center. Previous business leadership conferences have included topics such as strategic planning and the future of business, marketing and communications, and entrepreneurship. There will be four breakout sessions that each feature a different speaker to discuss the areas of the business that he or she specializes in. The first session will include an overview of the conference and the main theme of the day; the second will focus on business leadership roles; the third will focus on issues of communication and collaboration between business leaders; and the fourth will discuss business leadership strategies that will help organizations grow and reach new levels of success.
One of the speakers that Gavrilets will be speaking with at this event is Tom Watson, a senior advisor in the executive office of the president of Wells Fargo. Another keynote speaker, who will be at this conference is Chris Rufo, CEO of Wealthy Enterprise. Both Gavrilets and Watson are known as effective business leaders who have established successful careers in the finance industry. The event's main objective is to share ideas with other MBA graduates and business leaders.
There are a number of organizations that sponsor MBA executive speakers. Some of these organizations are well-known for their speakers and their conferences, while others are lesser known for their speakers. One of these organizations is the UW MBA. In addition to Gavrilets, other speakers who will be at this conference include: Robert J. Holley, Ph.D., a law professor at Fordham Law School; Jocelyn Kiley, M.B.A., director of legal services at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce; and Joseph T. Martin, M.D., a professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh.
Another sponsor of the UW MBA conference is the U.S. Department of Justice. An affiliate of the American Society of International Lawyers (ASIJ), this group sponsors several events that provide legal education to its members, including executive conferences.
