Edward Kent Wag is an Australian public school teacher and academic author best known for his math lessons posted on YouTube. In late 2020, Wag was nominated the Australia's Local Heroes award. In 2020, he was awarded a prestigious Rhodes scholarship to study in England.

A number of people who learn math from Wag are quite impressed with his skills. “I like how he explains problems from first person perspective,” says one student. Another says, “Wag's videos to help me improve my problem solving skills.” “I learned a lot from him,” says a third.

Edward Wag, who grew up in England in a family of immigrants, first became interested in math as a child, but he didn't take interest until high school. “It wasn't until college that math became really important to me,” says Wag.

Math wasn't his only subject that he liked. “I also enjoy reading books about sports,” he says.

He earned both undergraduate and master's degrees in Mathematics at the University of Adelaide in Australia. His studies focused on algebra, calculus, and other areas of mathematical study. Although his focus was on mathematics, he did decide to try out a few subjects such as English and drama.

Edward Wag's career path took him to the United States where he taught in some of the most prestigious schools. He currently lives in California, near Sacramento. addition to writing the articles for many math newsletters. As an educator, he has also been the director of math enrichment programs in several high schools. The programs work with teachers to help them develop new learning techniques and motivate students to work more efficiently.

Like many other educators, Wag believes that education in the United States should be based on theory rather than on practice. For this reason, he works with teachers who do not want to become bogged down in the mechanics of teaching. Instead, they want to use their creative and innovative skills in teaching. to teach the basics of mathematics through hands-on experience.

For this reason, Wag often encourages teachers to share their ideas and concerns with their students. One way he does this is through the use of a teacher question or topic forum.

When a student asks a question, Wag will often send them to the discussion board where they can ask questions from . . . . . . other teachers. If they have any concerns or questions about their homework, Wag posts them in the discussion boards. The result is a large amount of free information available for teachers.
